University of St. Thomas Houston announces a new program in Polish Studies. Beginning in fall 2021, undergraduates can earn a minor in Polish Studies in online courses for college credit: Introduction to Polish culture, the history of Poland in the 20th century, and Polish language. Additional courses on Polish art, film, literature and politics will be added.

With her philanthropic gift of approximately $200,000, Dr. Ewa Thompson, professor emeritus of Slavic Studies at Rice University, is leading the way to putting the work of the University of St. Thomas’ Saint John Paul II Institute on solid and sustainable ground.

The John Paul II Institute at UST administers this Interdisciplinary study of the thought of John Paul II using philosophy, theology, literature and history.
